Sony Announces Playstation Showcase Coming This Wednesday
New Playstation Exclusives and Releases set to take stage for over an hour on Twitch and YouTube
On May 17, it was announced that the Playstation Showcase will broadcast next week on the 24 through streaming platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. On the official Playstation Blog website, it states that the show will run for over an hour in order to extend coverages on the new PS5 and PS VR2 games that were previously in development the past year.
The live broadcast will start on Wednesday, May 24, at 1pm PST/ 3pm EST/ 9pm UK.
Sony plans on giving gamers a "glimpse at several creations from Playstation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from third-party partners and indie creators". Hopefully this year, audiences will get a chance to see highly anticipated releases such as Marvel's Spider-Man 2 developed by Insomniac as well as the previously teased Wolverine game. Both games made extravagant appearances that captivated the hearts of many superhero fans at the Playstation Showcase in 2021. This year, we can expect at least more information or gameplay from either titles.
Many have speculated that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is in the development of being remastered. Still there is no information given at this time from EA, Aspyr, nor BioWare. Others speculate that Last of Us: Part 1 should be getting a multiplayer update, allowing friends and strangers to duel it out just like it did in the first game. However, these are just some predictions that many gamers have theorized will be apparent in this year's showcase.
